- Below are some common questions and answers to Lab 3:
- For Part I, how dow we write the justifications?
- Ans: The easiest would be to have a two column table, where the first column would be the entity
name or the relationship name. The second column would have the justification, i.e. a quote for the textbook
saying that the given entity name or relationship is needed. Only one quote from the book for each entity/relationship is needed.
You may have an optional third column to state any assumptions.
- For Part II, do we repeat all the justifications as in Part I?
- Ans: Only the justifications are required for the revisions made in Part II. You don't need to copy the ones made in part I.
If there is not requirement justification, you can list out your assumption or design decision as part of the justification.
- For Part III, how do we write the table for the second deliverable?
- Ans: The best way is for the first column to list the entity name, second column as the attributes, third column as the SQL data
types, fourth column as uniqueness constraint (yes/no), and fifth column as 'not null' constraint (yes/no).

For example, if your login name is S1G50 than your password is S1G50 which is also case sensitive.
